Where it started
Maria's work sits at the intersection of brand strategy, research, visual identity and product innovation. The challenge was to build a portfolio that would not reduce that practice to an image gallery or a list of services.
The site needed to show how she thinks before showing what she makes. It had to present her perspective, explain a method of her own and give every project enough space, without losing clarity or turning the experience into an academic statement.
What had to be solved
- A practice that resists easy labels. Strategy, design and research coexist in every project; splitting them into rigid categories would fragment precisely what makes her profile distinctive.
- An abstract narrative that needed form. Ideas such as intuition, resonance and invisible connections had to become rhythm, interaction and hierarchy rather than remain copy alone.
- Projects with very different universes. The system had to hold expressive cases such as Gestual and Cleii without imposing a uniform aesthetic on them.
- An international audience. The complete experience had to work in Spanish and English with the same intent and continuity.
How we approached it
We structured the experience as a journey from the ethereal to the concrete. The home introduces the visual universe; About frames the practice; Method turns the process into a readable sequence; Manifesto reveals its principles; and Projects shows how all of it takes shape.
The navigation keeps that logic throughout. Instead of explaining every concept at once, the interface lets people discover it in layers through motion, symbols and changes in scale. The result preserves the intuitive side of the brand while providing clear landmarks throughout the experience.
The art direction starts with a dark, atmospheric base crossed by acid green, deep teal and warm accents. Type, photography and symbolic elements — the eye, hand, butterfly and lavender — create a recognisable language without competing with the work.
What we built
- Content architecture connecting profile, method, manifesto and case studies in a single narrative.
- Digital visual system with a high-contrast palette, editorial typography and a library of symbols with behaviours of their own.
- Interactive experience built around motion, reveals and compositions that reflect the portfolio's exploratory character.
- Editorial case studies able to combine concept, narrative and imagery without relying on a rigid template.
- Bilingual responsive site, developed to preserve the experience's rhythm across desktop and mobile.
Decisions that shaped the result
Making the method central. “From Insight to Frequency” stops being a secondary explanation and becomes the structure connecting research, patterns, resonance and execution.
Designing a system, not a backdrop. Symbols and animations were not added as decoration. Each one introduces an idea, creates a transition or helps explain the relationship between the tangible and the invisible.
Giving every project autonomy. Gestual and Cleii retain their own tone, colour and composition, while navigation, typography and editorial rhythm keep them part of the same portfolio.
The outcome
A portfolio that works as an extension of a creative practice: strategic without becoming rigid, expressive without losing clarity, and able to connect a personal vision with concrete evidence of the work.
The experience brings positioning, method, manifesto and projects into one bilingual system, turning each visit into a demonstration of how Maria researches, connects and transforms ideas.
